The site
These terms govern use of the Northline Studio website, your customer account, and the partner portal — catalog, writing, case studies, checkout, and downloads. They are not a substitute for a signed license or a services statement of work.
The catalog describes software products. Stories on this site are named engagements used as a public record of work. They are not a promise that every capability appears in every deployment.
What we are not
StablePay is self-hosted payment gateway software. Buying or evaluating it does not make the studio a payment processor, money transmitter, custodian, or bank. We do not hold customer funds, run customer wallets, or operate production signing for you.
Northframe and Meridian are products you operate. They are not staffed operations, a PSA replacement, or legal, tax, or compliance advice.
Accounts
Checking out creates an account for the email address you provide. Keep your password private and tell us if you think it has been compromised; you are responsible for activity under your account.
We may suspend or close an account that is used abusively, to commit fraud, or in breach of these terms. A suspended customer or partner loses access until we reinstate the account.
Licenses
A product license is a grant to deploy and operate the software under the commercial terms shown for that plan, tied to the account that bought it. It is not transferable without our written agreement.
You are responsible for infrastructure, secrets, RPC providers, databases, backups, and who has access in your environment. Documentation describes the system as implemented — not a warranty that every listed network, adapter, or export is enabled in every build.
Checkout, promo codes, and refunds
Checkout currently runs in a sandbox: it records an order, receipt, and license, but no card is charged. Until live payments are announced, treat prices as illustrative; a paid commercial license begins when both sides agree in writing (including email) and payment is taken through a method we confirm.
Promo codes apply to the plan they were issued for, may expire or have a redemption limit, and cannot be combined unless we say so. We may withdraw a code that was shared or used in error before it is redeemed.
Refunds are at the studio’s discretion. When an order is refunded, the license it issued is revoked and you must stop using the licensed software. Ask for a refund through a support ticket from your account.
Selected builds
Engineering work is taken on only when the studio accepts a written scope. An inquiry is not an engagement. We may decline work that is vague, unbounded, or a poor fit without further discussion.
Deliverables, IP, and handover are defined in the statement of work for that build — not by these website terms.
Partner program
Teams may apply to sell their own software through the studio. An application is not an agreement: the studio reviews each one and may approve, decline, or ask questions. Approval creates a partner account and requires you to accept the partner agreement before using the portal.
Unless agreed otherwise for a listing, the studio keeps a studio fee of 10% of each sale and you receive the rest. The studio controls what is published in the catalog, including pricing, and may pause or remove a listing or suspend a partner account.
If a sale is refunded, your share of it is voided; if you were already paid, that amount is deducted from your next payout. Payouts are sent manually once your balance reaches $50, to the payout details you provide, and only after you have supplied tax details and accepted the current agreement. You are responsible for your own taxes.
You confirm you own or are licensed to sell what you submit, that it is delivered as described, and that it does not infringe anyone’s rights. Buyers’ purchases are with the studio; the studio handles buyer support for partner products.
Free downloads
Free downloads are licensed under the freebie licence version shown when you requested them, which you accept at that point. They are provided as-is.
Site content
Text, layout, and product names on this site belong to the studio except where a client, operator, partner, or third party is credited. You may quote short passages with attribution. You may not copy the site, the product UIs, or the case-study record as if they were a template pack.
Client names appear because those engagements happened. They do not imply an ongoing endorsement or that the client uses every product in the catalog.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the site: no scraping that degrades service, no attempting to access systems or accounts that are not yours, no probing for other people’s codes or data, no using our marks to imply we processed a payment or hold funds.
If you deploy studio software, you must not use it to break the law of a place you operate in. We are not responsible for how you configure, sign, or settle.
Disclaimer
The site is provided as-is. We do not warrant that the catalog is error-free, that every preview matches a future release, or that a product is fit for a particular regulatory perimeter you have not described.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, the studio is not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect damages arising from use of the website. For licensed software, liability is as set in that license — typically capped at fees paid for the relevant term. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. If a change materially affects partners we will ask you to accept the updated agreement. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
Law
These website terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and courts there have exclusive jurisdiction, except where a mandatory consumer or local rule says otherwise.
